Electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of materials

Noble metal nanoclusters have been widely utilized for catalysis, electrocatalysis and photocatalysis.

In my Ph.D at Department of Chemistry, UWO, I synthesizsed various gold nanoclusters including Au25(SR)181-,1+,0, Au38(SR)24 and Au144(SR)60.

Electrogenerated chemiluminescence or electrochemiluminescence (ECL) is an emissive, background-free analytical technique. ECL is based on the electrochemical formation of highly reactive species.

ECL light emission can be tracked using newly devepoled techniques called “Spooling ECL Spectroscopy”.
