Electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of materials

Noble metal nanoclusters have been widely utilized for catalysis, electrocatalysis and photocatalysis.

In my Ph.D at Department of Chemistry, UWO, I synthesizsed various gold nanoclusters including Au25(SR)181-,1+,0, Au38(SR)24 and Au144(SR)60.

Electrogenerated chemiluminescnce or electrochemiluminescnce (ECL) is an emissive background free analytical technique. ECL is based on electrochemcially formation of highly reactive species.

ECL light emission can be tracked using newly devepoled techniques called “Spooling ECL Spectroscopy”.
